This is the way I see it. This is the life I live. This is the how-to book for the heart I give. This is the way I wake up, and these are the tales I write. This is the prayer I pray in the dead of night.
and we were so lucky to grow up in a time when they still sat us all on the floor and showed us films of reel-to-reel projectors in school. i honestly do not know who i would be if i had not seen some of the things i saw sitting cross-legged on the blue school carpet.

I saw this one in second grade and managed to talk my family into going with me to see it at Landmark. They weren't too keen on the idea of a French children's movie with almost no talking but they seemed to like it afterwards. And me, I loved it. The ending of The Red Balloon, when you can see the little boy's face through the green balloon, is wonderful.
